WASHINGTON (AP) — House Republicans are preparing legislation to create a new oversight board that would help Puerto Rico control $70 billion in debt.
And according to a poll by a local Puerto Rican radio station asking; “Would you agree that the federal Fiscal Control Board has absolute control over the ELA (Puerto Rico) ?” about 85% of respondents agree that the Fiscal Control Board should have complete power over the islands financial restructuring.
